Delizia Almond Cake

According to the true Sicilian tradition, the ancient recipe of the Delizia Cake is described in the verses of the Arab poet Ollag Abrab:

"The Delizia cake is made with crushed almonds, apricot jam; it is shaped then like a basket and covered with bright brush strokes of honey."

Sponge cake, cherry and apricot jam, oven-baked almond marzipan.

Ingredients -> flour, almonds, butter, eggs, candied fruit, apricot purée, grape sultanine.
